I Can't Find My Gloves

Long, over-the-elbow black gloves.  I love them and suddenly decided to wear them to the cocktail party on Friday but I've been thwarted because I can't bloody find them.  I have a vague memory of not beiong able to find them before I moved to Spain.  And it seems that in my two year absence they didn't magically show up!

Whilst I was there I bought a cheap satin-y pair in a 1€ 'fashion' shop, and though I managed to find them (in the bottom of a bag, in the bottom of my wardrobe, natch), when I tried them on again I decided they look like Batman gloves.  Not long enough and too shiny. I want my amazing ones back!  I think this story is going to go the same way as my favourite belt.  Lost, never to be found again, but (it's been years) I'll never forget it!

Looks like the party outfit will be sans gloves then, but I am wearing crystally-sparkly kitten heels with my lush maxi dress, so it's all good.  I might also wear my feather-bedecked hair band for it's premiere outting!  Very excited now!

Meeting MM tomorrow, before my interview at We Love To Boogie (how excited am I?!  Wearing the turban, in honour of the occassion.), and might pop in to see LW in her cushty shoe-shop job where I might be able to try on some shoes I can't afford and dance to some tunage while LW doesn't even pretend to work.  I love her boss and I've never even met her.

Must stop obsessing about those bloody gloves or I'll never get to sleep!
Night all! (Not Nytol.  Though maybe that'd help me sleep. Hmm...)

The Age-Old Question:

What Am I Going To Wear?

Yup, tonight is party night and I'm having a dilemma.  Those of you who are regular readers will know that I've decided on the pink! lipstick look, but I still can't decide what to wear.  Going naked is not, apparently, an option.

So my choices are:

1 (a) black strapless jumpsuit* with nude heels, purple neck-scarf, and black feather hairband.
1 (b) black strapless jumpsuit,  with nude heels and black sparkly cape.

2 This new skirt my mum dug out of her wardrobe and was about to throw out, before I claimed it.  It's midi-length, nude, and covered in silver sequins and looks very 1920s.  I would wear that with a black scoop necked tshirt, I think.

The outfit I go for determines the way I do my hair because if I go for the feather hair band then I'll scrape it back and straighten it, otherwise I'll leave it curly.  Ahh, dilemmas, dilemmas...  What to do?

*not my lush new one, because I'm saving that for my hols, and even though it's machine washable, I've already had to wash it once and I don't want to do it any more than I have to.

Happy Day

This morning I went for lunch with my granny again, and we 'popped in' to this shop near my house, round in Cathcart on the way.  It's a place called Cuckoo and it sells fancy clothes for older people.  I mean, some of it's nice but it's definitely aimed at people my mum's age more than people my age.  Well, my mum and granny go in all the time and so they're quite good friends with the owner and the people who work there.  We ended up there for about 2 hours or something, my mum was trying on loads of stuff (everything was half price in the sale) and my granny was trying stuff on, and I was sitting on a big couch passing judgement on everything they tried.

After a while the woman brought us over a wee table, stuck a white table cloth on it, lighted a candle and then poured three glasses of rose wine!  Talk about service.

In the end my mum bought a lovely wee top (that I picked out, Oh yes, I know my stuff) and my granny picked out a top and then another top (again, my suggestion. I should do this for a living.)

I found this amazing feather headpiece, that is beyond cool. It's black, so when it's on you can't totally tell where my hair begins and the feathers start. I think I'll wear it to MM's cocktail birthday party if it goes ahead (and now that I have this to wear, I will most definitely be campaigning for it!) and then I might wear it again to my cousin's wedding in June.  Good times. Good glamour-tastic times.

After that we went for lunch, and I had a tasty big plate of pork ribs and BBQ sauce, plus - natch - red wine.  Now that's what I call a good day out with the fam.  Only problem is, if I keep eating - and drinking - like this, I'll end up the size of a house!  You can cut out all the carbs you want, but the red wine is just as bloody bad!  Tasty though, there's no denying it.

Woooo, I just got a text from KM saying that she's having a flat-warming party on Saturday to celebrate her awesome new pad.  Very excited about this.  In fact it's so exciting, it might even be worthy of my feather hair-band!
